About My Work:
I like to sit and
stare at the characters in my paintings.
There are instances
when I feel such a deep
connection to the
people that live in the work.
I find them beautiful.
The blend of colour,
the folds of paint over paint,
the brush stroke,
the balance. Moving the paint until it
settles in place and
takes form. Working to capture
a moment in time that
is quiet and still.
When it all comes
together and I can look at the people
and have them look
back me, I am satisfied.
The work is complete.
About Me:
Over the past seven
years I have regularly exhibited in solo
and group exhibitions.
My work has been well received and can be found in
private collections
across Canada, USA, the Netherlands,
the United Kingdom
and Germany.
Prior to my pursuit
of a fine art career, I spent fifteen years
working in the music
industry as a marketing and creative affairs specialist.
During this period,
I spent two years living and working in New York
at a music management
company. While in New York, I involved
myself in photography
and became a prolific illustrator.
I left the city with
a large body of work, a couple of
gold and platinum
records and the desire to put paint to canvas.
